Hong Kong Weather in November
November is the third driest month of the year and the temperatures tend to be cool to warm, making it one of the best months of the year to visit Hong Kong.
There is an average of only 22 millimeters of rain, with an average of only six rainy days. The average relative humidity is 74%, making it one of the most comfortable months.
November is one of the coolest months of the year in Hong Kong, with an average high temperature 24 degrees Centigrade, or 75 degrees Fahrenheit. T
The average low temperature averages 19 degrees, or 66 degrees Fahrenheit. It is not uncommon, however, for the temperature to dip.
Keep in mind that air-conditioning is ubiquitous in Hong Kong. Indoor temperatures can be quite chilly – especially on trains and buses. So sweaters or pullovers are often needed even on the hottest days.
The chances of a typhoons impacting Hong Kong in May is low.
Direct hits are rare, happening on average about once every 10 years. The course of typhoons, however, is highly unpredictable.
Civil Unrest in Hong Kong
Hong Kong has been experiencing civil unrest for five months, and this has resulted in the cancellation of many events.
There have been several large-scale protests and many more smaller ones. This has occasionally resulted in road closures and/or the suspension of MTR services.
Before attending events, make sure that they have not been cancelled. And check to make sure that train or bus services have not been disrupted. The MTR has been closing earlier than usual.

Hong Kong International Literary Festival – 1 to 10 November 2019
Poetry, fiction, and history will be in focus at the 19th annual Hong Kong Literary Festival.
More than 50 events were scheduled to be held over a 10-day period, including seminars, workshops, and performances.
Unfortunately, several of the events were cancelled due to on-going civil unrest in Hong Kong.

Projekt Berlin – 4 to 17 November 2019
Celebrating 30 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall, Projekt Berlin showcases the German capital’s vibrant arts scene.
The programme will include light installations, live concerts, film screenings, public art, and flash mob performances.
Tai Kwun Centre for Heritage and Arts – 10 Hollywood Road, Central, Hong Kong Island.
Tai Kwun is a 10 to 15 minute walk from within walking distance of the Central MTR (exit D1) and Hong Kong Stadion (exit E).by way of the Mid-Levels Escalator.
Roller Planet – 6 to 20 November 2019
Harbour City will set up a roller skating rink with a universe theme. Children five to 12 years of age are the target.
Because roller-skating is not as easy as it looks, professional mentors will teach basic roller-skating skills.
Ocean Terminal – ground floor, Atrium, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon Peninsula, Hong Kong.
Ocean Terminal is a few steps from from the Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry Terminal. It is a 10 minute walk to the Tsim Sha Tsui and Tsim Sha Tsui East MTR stations.
City of Darkness – 8 November to 8 December
Blue Lotus Gallery will present City of Darkness, a photo exhibition of Kowloon’s Walled City.
The exhibition will feature photographs by Greg Girard and Ian Lambot.
Blue Lotus Gallery – 28 Pound Lane, Tai Ping Shan, Hong Kong Island.
The gallery is within walking distance of the Sheung Wan MTR station.
Freespace Jazz Fest – 9 to 10 November 2019
The first-ever Freespace Jazz Fest will feature a star-studded line-up of local and international musicians.
Headline acts include Robert Glasper Trio, GoGo Penguin, House of Waters, Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra feat. Hubert Laws, and the Noa Drezner Flamenco Quartet.
Events will include a mini-festival for kids, an interactive family concert, film screenings, a meet-the-artists session, jazz workshops, and dance performances by Hong Kong Ballet.
Included will be both ticketed and free performances.
West Kowloon Art Park – Austin Road West, West Kowloon, Kowloon Peninsula.
The park is a 10 minute walk from MTR Kowloon Station Exit E4 or E5. Walk along Nga Cheung road and cross the footbridge into the West Kowloon Cultural District.
It is a 10 minute walk from MTR Austin Station or West Kowloon Station.Follow signs to the West Kowloon Cultural District.
Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair – 7 to 9 November 2019
More than 1,000 exhibitors will showcase wines and spirits at the 12th annual Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair.
There will be more than 60 master classes, wine tastings, cocktail demonstrations, seminars and other events targeted at the trade.
Trade only the first two days. Open to the public on Saturday 9 November.;
Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre – One Expo Drive, Wanchai, Hong Kong Island.
HKCEC is a 10 minute walk from the Wan Chai MTR Station by way of an elevated covered walkway. It is also a 10 minute walk from the Wanchai Star Ferry Pier, with frequent ferries to Tsim Sha Tsui on the Kowloon Peninsula
Festival de Cannes Film Week – 12 to 17 November 2019
The first ever Festival de Cannes Film Week will present six films from the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.
World renowned filmmakers will hold masterclasses during the festival.
Kll Musea – Victoria Dockside, 18 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon Peninsula.
Victoria Dockside is a short walk from the Star Ferry Terminal and the Tsim Sha Tsui and Tsim Sha Tsui East MTR stations.
Hong Kong Pride Parade – 16 November 2019 – CANCELLED!

Owing to on-going civil unrest in Hong Kong, the police have refused to allow the annual pride parade to go forward.
The move came less than 48 hours before the march was scheduled to take place. This left organizers will little time to modify their plans.
However, an assembly at Edinburgh Place will be allowed to go forward.
Equal Justice, Equal Rights will be the theme of this year’s Hong Kong Pride Parade.
Marchers will gather at Victoria Park on Hong Kong Island. They will depart from the park at 2 pm, marching through Causeway Bay, Wanchai, and Admiralty toward Edinburgh Place in Central.
There will be booths and performances at Edinburgh Place.
An after-party will be held at Picada, a pan-Latin restaurant in Lan Kwai Fong. It will begin at 10 pm and continue “until late”.
Victoria Park – Victoria Park, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong Island.
Victoria Park is a short walk from the Causeway Bay and Tin Hau MTR stations on the Island Line.
Hong Kong French Film Festival – 20 November to 10 December 2019
A total of 40 films will be shown at 90 screenings during the 48th annual Hong Kong French Film Festival.

Clockenflap – 22 to 24 November 2019 – CANCELLED!!!
The Clockenlap Music and Arts Festival has been cancelled owing to on-going civil unrest in Hong Kong.
Now in its 12th year, the Clockenflap Music and Arts Festival takes place on the Central Harbourfront on Hong Kong Island.
Indie and altie rock, electronic music, multimedia art, installation art, and film fill out the stellar programme.

Food Made Good HK Awards – 23 November 2022
The annual Food Made Good HK Awards honours chefs, restauranteurs and food suppliers leading the sustainability movement across Hong Kong’s magnificent F&B sector.
The 10 Awards recognize extraordinary restaurant and foodservice businesses that have driven progress within the F&B industry, and demonstrate that all food can be made delicious, ethical and sustainable.
