dusitD2 Hua Hin is Dusit’s third hotel in Hua Hin. In fact, the Thai-based hotel group has had a presence in the city for 30 years.
Dusit International now has more than 300 properties across six brands in 17 countries around the world.
Destination Hua Hin
Hua Hin is one of Thailand’s most popular tourist destinations. In addition to its many beaches, the seaside resort has mountains, temples, night markets, and water parks.
But my favourite Hua Hin attraction is surely Mrigadayavan Palace, the former summer palace of King Rama VI.
It was absolutely beautiful. And couldn’t help fantasizing about what it must have been like to live there as I strolled the grounds.
Not surprisingly, Hua Hin is one of Thailand’s most popular retreats for Bangkokians. In fact, it is a three-hour drive south of the Thai capital.
Hotel Overview
The hotel is located a seven-minute walk from Hua Hin’s main beach. In addition, it is close to popular local attractions such as Cicada Market and Bluport Hua Hin Resort Mall.
All rooms and public areas are equipped with Panasonic Nanoe X machines. To clarify, they filter the air to eliminate odours. And they inhibit the activity of airborne bacteria and pet-derived allergens.
The hotel offers flexible check-ins, anytime breakfasts, and mobile payment methods.
Most importantly, the hotel is pet friendly, with rooms that can accommodate up to two pets.
Accommodation
The resort has 152 rooms and suites. And they range from 30 to 92 square meters. King size beds, twin beds, and bunk beds are available.
All rooms have high-speed internet access and 55 inch” 4K UHD Smart TVs.
In addition, some rooms have pet-friendly amenities for up to two pets.
Food and Beverage
The hotel has three food and beverage outlets. And each one has a different menu and a different vibe.
- Cafe Soi – an all-day dining restaurant, Cafe Soi serves Southern Thai cuisine.
- Som Bar – a rooftop bar with a Hollywood vibe, Som Bar affords panoramic views of the beach.
- Dusit Gourmet – Dusit’s signature bakery and coffee shop, Dusit Gourmet serves Thai and international pastries, snacks, and light meals.
Hotel Facilities
The hotel has a rooftop infinity pool, a large garden, and a fully equipped gym.
In addition, there is a large kids’ club with a children’s swimming pool, a play area with a sandbox, and a treehouse.
In fact, there is a wide range of activities for children ages three to 15.
Finally, the hotel has a function room accommodating up to 76 people in a theatre-style arrangement or 37 people in a classroom set-up.
