Milwaukee Brewers – Team Overview
The Milwaukee Brewers are a professional baseball team in the United States. And the Brewers compete in the Central Division of the National League of Major League Baseball (MLB).
Pilots/Brewers Team History
The Brewers were established in 1969. Since they were originally based in Seattle, Washington, they called themselves the Seattle Pilots.
However, after only one season, the Pilots moved to Milwaukee. In addition to switching cities, they switched leagues. To clarify, they switched from the American League to the National League in 1972.
So why does the team call itself the Brewers? Simple! Milwaukee is home to many beer breweries.
The Brewers have won four division titles. They won the AL East title in 1981 and 1982. And they won the NL Central Division title in 2011 and 2018.
The team won the AL Pennant in 1982. But they lost their only appearance in the World Series.
Actually, there were previous teams called the Milwaukee Brewers. And they played in minor leagues. The earliest one was founded in 1884. And the last incarnation of the Brewers stopped play in 1952.
In addition, Milwaukee had a baseball team called the Milwaukee Braves. And they moved from Boston to Milwaukee in 1953. Unfortunately for Brew Town, the baseball team moved to Atlanta in 1966.

A Word to the Wise
While most of these venues tend to attract Milwaukee Brewers fans on game day, there are no guarantees.
First of all, not all baseball games are broadcast. And even when they are, sometimes they won’t turn on the sound. Otherwise, they might show other events. And there is always the chance the venue might be booked for special activities.
Also, fans sometimes migrate to other venues. And bars sometimes close.
Therefore, you should always call ahead to make sure that the game you want to watch will be broadcast.
