Sweden in September – is this a good time to visit?  Most Swedes have gone back to work or school. Since there are few tourists, hotels often lower their prices. Usually, the weather is pleasant in early September. But September can also be wet and windy. The good news is the mosquitos are gone, making it a good time to go hiking, biking, or kayaking. If you want to see the Northern Lights, head to Swedish Lapland. They begin to appear in the far north as early as early September.

Apple Market – 24 September to 9 October 2022

The Apple Festival is all about apples in food and drink. And it attracts about 50,000 apple lovers each year. The traditional apple board will be held on the weekend of 24 and 25 September. But the Aftermarket continues for two full weeks, with apple painting, an apple exhibition, apple sales, and other activities.

Stockholm Beer and Whisky Festival – 29 October to 8 October 2022

One of the world’s largest beverage fairs, the Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2022. Beer, calvados, cider, champagne, gin, mead,  rum, and whisky distributors will exhibit their wares at the festival. 

Opens 29 and 30 September as well as 1, 6, 7, and 8 October 2022.
