Destination GInza

Ginza is a popular shopping district in Tokyo, Japan. Not only is Ginza home to numerous upscale department stores and designer boutiques.

In addition, there are countless bars, cafes, coffee houses,  nightclubs, and fine-dining restaurants.

Ginza is located south of Yaesu and Kyōbashi, west of Tsukiji, east of Yūrakuchō and Uchisaiwaichō, and north of Shinbashi.

Hotel Overview

Aloft Tokyo Ginza is Marriott’s first Aloft hotel to open in Japan. Will the trendy hotel be last Aloft hotel to open in the Land of the Rising Sun? Not likely!

In fact, Aloft hotels target two overlapping market segments: music lovers and tech-savvy travelers.

Design elements feature graffiti, neon colours, open spaces, loft-life rooms, and original works of art.

One of the Aloft brand’s signature programmes is Live At Aloft Hotels.

As part of this musical initiative, the hotel gives emerging local artists a platform to perform at the hotel in the evenings.

Accommodation

Tokyo Ginza Aloft has 205 rooms and suites. And they all feature loft-like layouts.

First of all, all rooms and suites have  airy nine-foot-ceilings,

Because they cater to tech-savvy travelers, rooms have complimentary, high-speed Wi-Fi. In addition, they have 55-inch flatscreen, 4K televisions.

Regarding bathrooms, all unites have  walk-in, rainfall shower.

Finally, the hotel has five room categories. And they include twin rooms, king rooms, and suites.

Regarding suites, they have either a king-size beds or a sofa bed. And all rooms and suites have city views.

Tokyo Giniza Aloft has five food and beverage outlets. And each one has a distinct identity.

  • The Warehouse – as an all-day dining restaurant, the Warehouse serves  casual breakfasts, prix-fixe lunches, and an extensive a la carte menu at dinner. 
  • W XYZ Bar – while dishing up live music in the evening, W XYZ serves craft cocktails and light bites. And the bands are usually emerging local musicians!
  • Re:mix Lounge – because it is located next to the hotel lobby, the Re:mix Lounge offers a space for out-of-towners and locals to mix.
  • Roof Dogsas an open-air rooftop bar, Roof Dogs serves sparkling wines, hotdogs, and other light bites against a backdrop of the Ginza’s bright lights.
  • Re:fuel by Aloft – because it is ocated in the lobby, Re:fuel by Aloft allows guests to grab drinks and a light meal or smart snack. Moreover, it is open on a 24/7 basis.

The hotel is a short walk from walk from the Ginza and Higashi Ginza subway stations.
