Dallas Stars Team History

The Dallas Stars are a professional American ice hockey team. They play in the Central Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL).

The Stars play home games at American Airlines Center at 2500 Victory Avenue in Dallas, Texas. The arena is also home to the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

As a multi-use facility, the arena is also used for concerts and other types of entertainment.

While the basketball team was established in 1967 it was originally based in Bloomington, Minnesota. In addition, the team was first known as the Minnesota North Stars. However, when it moved to Dallas in 1993, it was rechristened the Dallas Stars.

The Stars have won two division championships and one conference championship. More importantly, they won the Stanley Cup in 1999!
