New York Knicks Team History
The New York Knicks are a professional basketball team in the United States. And they compete in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
The Knicks were established in 1946. And they originally called themselves the New York Knickerbockers.
In fact, the Knicks are one of only two NBA teams that still play in its original city. And the other is the Boston Celtics.
The New York Knicks are one of two NBA teams based in the Big Apple. The other team is the Brooklyn Nets, which play in the neighboring borough of Brooklyn.
The Knicks have won eight division titles. And they have won four conference titles. Most importantly, they have won the NBA Championship twice: in 1970 and 1973.
The New York Knicks play home games at Madison Square Garden in mid-town Manhattan. And they share the arena with the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL).

Sometimes they won’t turn on the sound. Other times they might show other events. And there is always the chance the venue might be booked for special events.
Also, fans sometimes migrate to other venues. And bars sometimes close.
Therefore, you should always call ahead to make sure that the game you want to watch will be broadcast.
