Reader Feedback on Windsurfing in Phuket

My piece on taking a windsurfing lesson at the Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa  in Phuket seems to have attracted a lot of reader interest.

Some readers shared their own experiences taking lessons in water sports – not only windsurfing, but also conventional surfing and waterskiing.

And one mentioned that she was so inspired with my attempt at trying to stand up on a wind surfboard that she would like to take her next holiday in Phuket so that she could try her hand at windsurfing!

Here is a sampling of the feedback we received on my post on taking a windsurfing lesson.

Please note: we only publish names with reader permission.

I went to Phuket three years ago and your sharings make me want to go to Phuket as my next destination and try windsurfing.

So, you will go to Shanghai after your Phuket trip? Can’t wait to read your sharings.

The wind surfing piece reminded me of my attempt at camp long ago to waterski.  I tried many, many times over my stay at camp.  The very last time, I finally got up.  I was so thrilled.  And I never went waterskiing again.

Hi Michael!

Your news always makes me envious! In fact, I was in Bali a month ago and had my first surfing lesson there, too. It was fun, and I really enjoyed it.

Windsurfing is really hard for me. I tried it once and couldn’t manage to get upright and stand on the gear.  Hope you have lots of fun.

I do check out your travel blog very often. Your sharings will bring me around the world and let me know something I never met.

How long will you stay in Hong Kong and where will be your next destination?

The story on windsurfing was cute. These stories make the whole blog.

Keep up the good work!
