The Tampa Bay Lightning are a professional American ice hockey team. They compete in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL).

The Tampa Bay Lightning joined the NHL in 1992 as an expansion team. They have won four division championships and one presidents’ trophy.

In addition, they have won two conference championships. Most importantly, they won the Stanley in 2004.

The Tampa Bay Lightning play home games at Amalie Arena in the Channelside District of downtown Tampa, Florida.

In addition to hosting the Tampa Bay Lightning, the arena hosts basketball games, arena football games, and concerts.

The arena seats 19,092 fans for ice hockey. In addition, it hosts as many as 21,500 attendees for concerts.

In fact, the Tampa Bay Lightning is one of two NHL teams in the state of Florida.

Moreover, the Florida Panthers play home games in Sunrise, Florida. To clarify, the city is within the Metropolitan Miami area.
