Avani Bangkok Riverside – the Big Mango’s newest high rise hotel – nears completion on a site located across the River of Kings from Asiatique, a  night market that was repurposed from collection of derelict buildings.

Construction of the Avani Bangkok Riverside is complete, and the hotel will officially open later this year. An exact date for the hotel’s opening has yet to be announced.

Overlooking Bangkok’s legendary Chao Phraya, a.k.a. the River of Kings, the 26-storey hotel sits atop a retail complex called Avani Plaza, which will have 60 bars, restaurants, and shops.

The complex is located on Chareon Nakorn Road behind the Anantara Riverside Resort and Spa. While the hotel is not situated directly on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, all of its 249 guest rooms and suites are located on the 12th floor or above to afford spectacular views of the river.

The hotel is located directly opposite Asiatique The Riverside, a massive night market with hundreds of boutiques, food and beverage outlets, entertainment venues, and other facilities. The hotel will offer a free shuttle service across the river to the night market.

The hotel will have a roof-top infinity swimming pool, a fitness centre, 4,500 square metres of multipurpose space for meetings and events, and other facilities.

Food + Beverage

Guest staying at the hotel  will not go hungry. There are 4 food and beverage outlets. Here’s what’s in store …

  • Skyline – will serve an international buffet at breakfast with both buffet and ala carte menu selections available at lunch and dinner.
  • Attitude Roof Top Bar and Grill – adjacent to the rooftop swimming pool on the 26th floor, this stylish venue will serve contemporary dishes and grilled specialities. Expect signature cocktails, great sunsets, and sweeping views of the river and the city beyond.
  • The Living Room Bar – a lobby lounge, this outlet will serve fresh snacks and local specialities.
  • The Pantry – open 24/7, this deli will offer drinks and snacks to be eaten in or taken away.
