An all-day-dining restaurant, Siam Brasserie is one of three food and beverage outlets at the Lancaster Bangkok, a five-star hotel situated in the up-and-coming Makkasan District. The hotel also has a lobby lounge and a bar overlooking the rooftop swimming pool.

Best Restaurants in Bangkok
During a recent trip to Bangkok, Thailand, I spent two nights at the Lancaster Bangkok, a lovely hotel with three stylish food and beverage outlets.
Two of the outlet were bars focusing of beverages and lights bites, and one of them was an all-day dining restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Lancaster Bar
The Lancaster Bar – Serving sharing plates, Thai tapas, bar snacks, craft cocktails, mixed drinks, and local beers, The Lancaster Bar is spacious and comfortable, with a distinctive glass-clad sun room at the rear.
High Bar

High Bar – Overlooking the roof-top infinity swimming pool, High Bar serves fruit juice, smoothies, tropical drinks, exotic cocktails, beers, wines, ice cream, and lights bites.
Siam Brasserie
Siam Brasserie – The hotel’s signature food and beverage outlet, Siam Brasserie serves international buffets at breakfast and a la carte menus at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
This is where most hotel guests have breakfast, and I was no exception, having breakfast there both mornings of my two-night hosted stay..
I also treated myself to a mouth-watering lunch on my second day before checking out of the hotel.
The Breakfast Buffet …
Siam Brasserie serves a mouth watering breakfast buffet with an East-Meets-West menu.
There are salads, sushi, fruits, breads, pastries, various hot dishes – the list goes one.
I particularly liked the baked beans. Unlike the baked beans served at most of the hotels I’ve stayed at in Asia, which seem to have been poured out of a can and simply heated, these baked beans were wonderfully enhanced with meat and other savoury ingredients.
In addition to hot and cold dishes prepared in a show kitchen were egg, noodle, and dim sum stations, where dishes are prepared to order.
The A La Carte Menu …
The all-day dining menu includes appetizers, soups, salads, main selections and desserts.
Both Thai cuisine and Western dishes are served.
Thai choices focus on classic Bangkok style street food that has been classed up a notch.
Dishes are as much a feast for the eyes as for the palate!
Western dishes include classic comfort food, such as the Lancaster Burger, Club Sandwich, Baked Mac and Cheese, and Fish and Chips as well as Roasted Half Chicken, Tenderloin of Beef, and Salmon Filet.
I treated myself to a mouth-watering lunch during my two-night stay.
Thai Soup
Tom Yum Goong – I started with Tom Yum Goong, a hot and sour soup with river prawns, lemongrass, lime juice, and garden chilies.
Tom Yum Goong is without question Thailand’s most famous – and popular – soup.
Thai Noodles
Phad Thai Goong – for my main course I had Phad Thai Goong, fried noodles witb prawns, garlic, chives, bean sprouts, and tamarind sauce.
If Tom Yum Goong is Thailand’s best know soup, Phad Thai Goong is the country’s most beloved noodle dish.
The Ambiance …
As the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, Siam Brasserie has a stylish modern vibe with subtle Thai cultural influences.
The Verdict …
This lovey Bangkok cafe was spacious, comfortable, and bathed in sunlight throughout the morning and afternoon.
The breakfast buffet included both Thai food, other Asian food, and Western food.
The a la cart dishes I sampled at lunch were tasty and beautifully plated. The ambiance was also very pleasant.
I was particularly impressed by the friendliness of the staff.
I was experiencing some technical difficulties with my mobile device during my stay.
I mentioned it to one of the waiters at breakfast. When I returned later in the day, he had researched the problem on line and was very helpful in helping me resolve the issue.
I would have to give this Bangkok kitchen an enthusiastic two thumb’s up!
