One of Singapore’s most popular buffet restaurants will fly in two renowned Japanese Chefs to share some of their most popular signature dishes with Singapore foodies for nine days in early May.
Japanese chefs from the Royal Park Hotel in Tokyo and the Yokohama Royal Park Hotel will be flown to Singapore to share their most popular dishes will dinners at Carousel, the popular all-day dining buffet restaurant at the Royal Plaza on Scotts in Singapore.
The “Taste of Japan” promotion will run from 4 to 13 May 2017. All three of the hotels are members of the Preferred Hotels and Resorts Lifestyle Collection.
Makoto Nishikawa, Sous Chef of Genjikoh, Royal Park Hotel, and Takeshi Yamada, Sous Chef of Shikitei, Yokohama Royal Park Hotel, will present more than of their 110 dishes on the buffet counters during the promotion period.
Included will be the following three signature dishes …
Takenoko Konakatsuo Ni
Takenoko Konakatsuo Ni – Stewed Bamboo Shoot with Shaved Dried Bonito
Chikuzen Ni
Chikuzen Ni – Country-styled Stewed Vegetables
Mekajiki no Kuwayaki
Mekajiki no Kuwayaki – Broiled Marinated Swordfish
There will be sushi and maki, teppanyaki and tempura, noodles and hot pot as well as appetizers, steamed dishes, desserts – the list goes on.
Some dishes will be featured daily, and others will be rotated – so you might want to visit more than once during the promotion.
While Japanese cuisine will be in the spotlight during the promotion, those other yummy cooking styles that Carousel fans have come to expect will not be given short shrift.
In addition to the featured Japanese dishes, the restaurant will continue to serve all of those other mouth-watering dishes that Carousel is famous for, including Chinese, Indian, European, the list goes on.
The Taste of Japan will be served from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm, 4 to 13 May 2017.
