June Weather in Thailand

What is the weather like in Thailand in June? Because of high humidity, overcast skies, and lots of rain, June is considered wet season in Thailand. The Southwestern monsoon blows in from the Indian Ocean.

As a result, the weather tends to be hot, humid, and cloudy. It rains most days during this period. However, it is not as hot as during March, April, or May.

There are, of course, some regional differences in the weather. The Southern Thai islands of Phuket and Koh Samui, for example, experience very different types of weather in June.

Phuket is a bit cooler but much more humid. And it has less sunshine and considerably more rain. Koh Samui, meanwhile, is hotter, sunnier, and less humid. Moreover, the island also has much less rain than its neighbor to the East.

A look at the weather in the cities featured into this month’s travel guide follows.
