Angels Team History
The Los Angeles Angels are a professional baseball team in the United States. And they compete in the west division of the American League (AL) of Major League Baseball (MLB).
The Angels were established in 1961. And they played home games in Los Angeles. Therefore, they called themselves the Los Angeles Angels.
The team changed its name to the California Angles in 1965 when it moved from Los Angeles to Anaheim. Because the team played home games in Anaheim, it changed its name to the Anaheim Angels in 1997.
Then, in 1905, the team changed its name to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. And it continued to call itself that until 2015.
Finally, the team reverted to its original nomenclature – the Los Angeles Angels – in 2016.
The Angels have won nine West Division titles. And the last time it won one was in 2014. In addition, it has won one AL pennant.
Most importantly, the Angels won the World Series in 2002. More interestingly, the team hadn’t won the West Division that year. In fact, it won the AL pennant by way of a wild card berth.
The Los Angeles Angels play home games at Angel Stadium of Anaheim in Anaheim, California. And in case you don’t know where Anaheim is, it is the home of Disneyland!
Angel Stadium is the second oldest baseball stadium in the American League. In addition, it is the fourth oldest stadium in Major League Baseball. Only Fenway Park in Boston, Wrigley Field in Chicago, and Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles are older.
In addition to hosting the Angeles, the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League played home games there between 1980 and 1894,

A Word to the Wise
While most of these venues tend to attract Los Angeles Angels fans on game day, there are no guarantees.
First of all, not all baseball games are broadcast. And even when they are, sometimes they won’t turn on the sound. Otherwise, they might show other events. And there is always the chance the venue might be booked for special activities.
Also, fans sometimes migrate to other venues. And bars sometimes close.
Therefore, you should always call ahead to make sure that the game you want to watch will be broadcast.
